Invitations

All of the Mid-Winter parties were by invitation only. Originally it was due to the size of the place it was held, and later for control of the crowd and so that I didn't have to hire security.

To view the individual invitations, click on their links below. Most invitations were tri-folded so that additional writing was visible on the exposed "exterior" of the invitation - thus the long breaks and extra text at the end of some of the invites.

1994 - The first one - I used an OCR program to scan and then convert this to an HTML format. I tried to read it over and make corrections from the OCR process, but may have missed a few.

1995 - Used a postcard format.

1996 - The first one at the Civic Center. Exterior text alluded to the two rooms of music.

1997 - I was very late getting this one out and then a snowstorm shut down the post office for a day.

1998 - I was at a loss for words on this invitation.

1999 - A change of venue. The last 'jam". Due to things happening in my personal life, I was VERY hesitant about even having this one, but it turned out to be one of the most successful.

2000 - For a number of reasons, it was decided to sit this year out.

2001 - A departure from the norm. Decided to hire Say Uncle band for the main show and possibly have some jamming with those who wanted. Other than poor acoustics and a cold room, it turned out pretty good.

2002 - Moved the Venue to my old bar - the Chalet (formerly the Water Tower Inn). Say Uncle played and had two or three people jam with them on a few songs.

2003 - At the Chalet again. Trying to get "back to the jam".
